Saint Simons Island, GA, United States
Seaside Golf Course is a championship links-style course located on St. Simons Island, Georgia, at the Sea Island Resort. Originally designed in 1929 by Harry S. Colt and Charles Alison, the course was comprehensively redesigned by Tom Fazio, combining the original Seaside nine with the old Marshside nine to create 18 holes. The layout features beautifully manicured fairways and greens set against sweeping dunes, native grasses, wildflowers, and strategically placed bunkers that create an ocean-side setting. Wind conditions vary daily, providing different challenges throughout the year. The course is routinely ranked among the top 100 courses in the United States and is considered both challenging and enjoyable. Seaside co-hosts the PGA TOUR's RSM Classic, a FedEx Cup event. As the course approaches its 25th anniversary in 2026, a restoration project led by Love Golf Design will preserve its original character while introducing select enhancements, with the course closing May-October 2026 for this work.
