Curlewis Golf Course

Victoria, Australia

Curlewis Golf Course is a links-style 18-hole course located on The Bellarine Peninsula, approximately one hour from Melbourne and 15 minutes from Geelong, with views across Corio Bay. Officially opened in 1970, the par-71/73 course measures 6,150 metres and was originally designed by Vern Morcom. The layout features a sandy base, minimal tree coverage, naturally undulating couch fairways, challenging bunkers, and firm, fast greens. Course difficulty is largely determined by wind conditions. The design has been refined through master plans by Kevin Hartley (1976) and renowned architect Michael Clayton (2001). Currently ranked in Golf Australia's Top 50 Australian Public Access Courses and top four in Western Victoria, the course is regarded as one of Australia's most progressive public access venues. Since its 2015 acquisition by new owners, Curlewis has been recognised for innovation and received the inaugural Australian Golf Digest Club Excellence Award. The facility includes a clubhouse with dining options, plus The Range @ Curlewis, a state-of-the-art 18-bay driving range with teaching academy, simulators, and TopTracer technology.
