The club was established and joined the Swedish Golf Federation in 1941 as member number 26. The Skogsbana is a technical layout traversing a natural forest environment, presenting contrasting playing characteristics between the two courses. The clubhouse is housed in a renovated historic building called "the old lodge," featuring a golf center, changing rooms, sauna, pro shop, and Hooks Bistro restaurant.
