Lamlash Golf Club

North Ayrshire, Scotland

Lamlash Golf Club, located on the Isle of Arran in Scotland, is an 18-hole course set on hillside terrain above the village of Lamlash. The course offers scenic views overlooking the Clyde Estuary and the Ayrshire coast, with vistas of Holy Isle and Lamlash Bay. The layout presents a significant challenge for golfers of all abilities, featuring numerous lengthy Par 3s, including two holes exceeding 220 yards, and tricky Par 4 holes where wayward tee shots typically find rough areas. Notable holes include the Lighthouse (Hole 12), described as the most challenging Par 3, positioned at the course's highest point; the Ravine (Hole 10), a dogleg left requiring elevation gain; and the finishing hole, Twa Burns (Hole 18), a Par 4 with two burns threatening the approach. The course is characterized by lush fairways and well-maintained greens. The terrain is consistently undulating, with several blind tee shots and elevation changes that demand strategic play. Many holes feature burns, bunkers, and out-of-bounds areas that add to the difficulty. The course hosts open competitions, including a Gents Open and Ladies Open events, indicating its standing within competitive Scottish golf.
