Golf Olivar de la Hinojosa

Comunidad de Madrid, Spain

Golf Olivar de la Hinojosa is a 27-hole facility located in Madrid's Campo de las Naciones district. The course features an 18-hole championship layout with par 72, complemented by a 9-hole par 29 course suitable for players of all skill levels. The facility was developed on a former landfill site, transformed into a green space that serves the local community. The course is characterized by three lakes integrated throughout the layout, which enhance both the playing experience and environmental value. The terrain incorporates approximately 2,000 newly planted trees, creating a vibrant ecosystem. The landscape features rolling terrain with water hazards as defining elements, providing moderate to challenging conditions. Key environmental features include sustainable water management using recycled water from the Las Rejas treatment facility, advanced irrigation technology, solar panels for energy independence, and electric vehicle charging stations. The three lakes serve dual purposes—supporting gameplay while providing wildlife habitat for various bird and fish species. The facility includes a clubhouse offering Mediterranean cuisine, practice facilities, a golf school, and hosts regular tournaments throughout the year. The course represents a significant environmental rehabilitation project, functioning as both a recreational venue and urban green space.
