Annual 5-day couples golf tournament held at Pine Needles Lodge and Golf Club, Southern Pines, North Carolina — one of the top four courses in the state. Running for more than 50 years, the event is known as the 'Quest for the Bell' and attracts couples from across the United States and Canada. Competition takes place over three rounds: Round 1 at Mid Pines (Thursday), Round 2 at Pine Needles (Friday), and Round 3 at Pine Needles (Saturday). Wednesday is an optional practice round with a welcome reception. A golf clinic with Pat McGowan and Donna Andrews is held on Friday. The package is all-inclusive and covers four nights' accommodation, entry fee, breakfast/lunch/dinner daily (from arrival lunch to departure breakfast), ten rounds of golf per couple, unlimited range balls, cart fees, club storage, prizes, a welcome gift, welcome and farewell cocktail parties, and nightly entertainment. 2026 lodging package rates: Master/Lodge room $3,200+ per couple; King/Deluxe room $3,100+ per couple.
