The John Dropping Invitational Junior Championship

59th Annual John Dropping Invitational Junior Championship, held at RedHawk Golf Course, Nampa, Idaho. 54-hole strokeplay tournament (3 rounds) for junior golfers aged 14–18 (19-year-olds permitted if no more than one month past high school graduation). Boys must have a USGA handicap index of 5.0 or lower; girls must have a USGA handicap index of 10.0 or lower. Maximum field of 96 players. Selection criteria include USGA handicap index, performance in national junior events (USGA, PGA, AJGA), state event results (IGA, IHSAA), other tournament success, and past participation in the Dropping Invitational. Entry opens 1 March 2026. Players must register on Sunday 7 June (10am–2pm) at RedHawk Golf Course. Practice rounds available Sunday 7 June 10am–1pm (booking via Golf Genius). Round 1: Monday 8 June (tee times 8am–10am, lunch provided). Round 2: Tuesday 9 June (tee times 8am–10am, lunch provided). Round 3: Wednesday 10 June (tee times 8am–10am, lunch provided). Boys play from the black tees (~7,000 yards); girls play from the blue tees (~6,000 yards). Complimentary range balls provided Sunday through Wednesday. Caddies are not permitted. Trophies awarded immediately following play on the final day. Sudden-death playoff for all trophy positions. Top 10% of the field earn AJGA PBE Stars. Live scoring available during the event.
