Point at Polzeath Golf Course

Cornwall, United Kingdom

The Point at Polzeath is an 18-hole, par 72 parkland course stretching to approximately 6,300 yards from the back tees, situated near St Minver on the north Cornwall coast. Originally opened in the mid-1990s as Roserrow Golf & Country Club, it was designed by former Ryder Cup player and broadcaster Dave Feherty. The course underwent substantial redesign work from 2015 onward under architect Tim Lobb of Thomson Perrett & Lobb, with improvements to fairway definition, bunkers, tees, greens, and drainage across the majority of holes. Set within 230 acres of undulating parkland just above the Camel Estuary, the course sits around two miles north of Rock and a mile from the well-regarded St Enodoc Golf Club. Views extend across Hayle Bay to Pentire Point and Newlands Island, with the terrain providing genuine elevation changes that add to the challenge. Despite a relatively modest yardage, the course plays longer than the scorecard suggests due to its undulating nature and exposure to coastal winds. The 14th, a 386-yard par four and stroke index 1, is considered the signature hole, with a stream running along the left side making it both the toughest and most visually striking on the course. The par five 6th is also notable for a traditional dry stone wall that forces a strategic decision from the fairway. The course has hosted the Cornish Festival of Golf alongside regional venues Trevose and St Enodoc.
