The Black Tees Open Competition takes place at Concra Wood Golf Club, Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan, on Friday 21 August 2026. This is a men's individual Stableford competition played off the black tees, starting from the 1st tee. Tee times are available from 08:30 to 15:30. The visitor entry fee is €40.00. Handicap certificates are not required, though participants must hold an official GUI/ILGU handicap to enter. iGolf members are eligible to participate for handicap purposes; when a minimum of 6 iGolf members are entered, a separate iGolf category will be included with a prize allocated — iGolf members will not be included in the main prizes. Normal GUI/ILGU dress code applies; soft spikes only. Cancellation policy: full refund if cancelled more than 48 hours in advance; 50% refund if cancelled within 24 hours; no refund for no-shows or cancellations less than 24 hours before play.

Concra Wood Golf Club is located in Castleblayney, County Monaghan, Ireland, situated along the Dundalk Road. The 18-hole course represents the evolution of the original Castleblayney Golf Club, founded as a 9-hole layout in 1905. After closing in 1949, the club was reestablished in 1985 on the grounds of Hope Castle, which overlooks Lough Muckno. The current location opened in 2008 with expansion to a full 18-hole championship course. The club features The View Restaurant Bar and a pro-shop operated by Bobby Fallon Golf. The course is set within a scenic landscape characterized by views across Lough Muckno. The facility offers a driving range and welcomes both members and visitors. Concra Wood hosts open competitions accessible to members of WHS-affiliated clubs and provides a range of membership categories for players of all ages and experience levels, from juvenile through overseas memberships. The course maintains standard golf etiquette requirements, including appropriate footwear and regular shoe cleaning during play, with buggy use prohibited.
