Brynhill Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course located in Barry, South Wales, measuring 6,500 yards and designed by Dave Thomas, the renowned architect behind the Ryder Cup Brabazon Course at the Belfry. The course features four par fives and is set within the Vale of Glamorgan, offering breathtaking views across the landscape. Known as "The Hidden Jewel in the Vale," Brynhill presents a challenging yet accessible layout suitable for golfers of all skill levels and ages. The course opened in 1921 and holds historical significance as the site of the first golf match ever filmed and screened in Wales. Brynhill combines its challenging parkland design with excellent hospitality facilities, including a clubhouse with dining options and event spaces. The club recently opened one of Wales' largest indoor simulator facilities featuring a 5.2-meter screen using Falcon simulator technology. Professional coaching is available from PGA Professionals, including Director of Golf Leon Warne. The course was awarded "Best Golf Club, Vale of Glamorgan" in 2025.
