3-person Bowmaker Stableford competition (best 2 scores from each team of 3 count). Open to ladies with a handicap index up to 45 (higher handicaps may enter but are capped at 45). Entry fee is £45.00 per person for visitors and £35.00 per person for members, including a one-course post-match meal. Generous prize table available; a prize is guaranteed for the best all-visitor team score. Teams comprising one visitor and one club member are classified as home teams. To be eligible for prizes, all players must have completed 5 or more individual competition rounds in the last 12 months. Nearest the Pin prizes are also available. Bridport & West Dorset Golf Club, founded in 1891, is the oldest golf club in Dorset. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty adjacent to Chesil Beach on the Jurassic Coast, the course features a distinctive mix of links and cliff-top terrain. The layout offers breathtaking views across Lyme Bay to the west and Portland Bill to the east, with northward vistas across the rolling Hardy countryside. Described as a championship course, it ranks among the most exhilarating and challenging on England's south coast. The terrain includes dramatic cliff-top sections, notably featuring one hole with a 90-foot drop. While not overly severe with generous fairways, the course presents considerable difficulty through wind exposure and its challenging topography. The design balances playability with strategic complexity, making it suitable for holiday golf despite its demanding nature.
