Halesworth Golf Club

Bramfield Road

Halesworth, Suffolk, United Kingdom

Halesworth Golf Club is a 27-hole facility set within 200 acres of undulating Suffolk countryside at Bramfield Road, Halesworth, a few miles from the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The site comprises two courses: the 18-hole Blyth Course and the nine-hole Valley Course. The Blyth Course is the main championship layout, playing to par 72 over 6,523 yards. The course has been significantly redesigned in recent times and occupies gently rolling parkland terrain. A lake is a prominent feature visible from the clubhouse. Despite its parkland setting, the undulating nature of the Suffolk countryside gives the layout more variety and interest than a flat inland course, and it is maintained to year-round standards with no temporary greens or tees used in winter. The course rating is 62.2 and no notable designer credit for the original layout is widely documented, though the Valley Course is attributed to Steve Marnoch. The Valley Course is a nine-hole pay-and-play layout of par 33 over 2,280 yards, comprising a mix of par threes and par fours. It is designed to be accessible to beginners and higher handicappers while remaining engaging enough for more experienced players, and serves as an academy facility. The club also features a ten-bay covered floodlit driving range, practice chipping and putting greens, a pro shop with PGA tuition, and a modern clubhouse with restaurant and function rooms. No notable professional tournament history is on record.
