Kendal Golf Club is an 18-hole course located in the Lake District near Kendal, England. The course features limestone drainage, ensuring year-round playability in all but extreme weather conditions. Set in a mountainous landscape with stunning views, the course is characterized by challenging terrain including blind shots, elevation changes, and strategic hazards. Notable features include out-of-bounds markers on multiple holes, bunkers strategically placed throughout, and undulating greens. The signature hole is the 17th (Battleships), a par 3 with distinctive elevated green design. The course demands strategic shot selection, with particular difficulty on uphill holes like the 6th (Scout Scar) and downhill par 3s such as the 7th (Benson Knott). The back nine showcases particularly scenic vistas, especially from the 13th tee, described as one of the most scenic in the country.
