Golf de Metz Chérisey is an 18-hole championship course with a par 72 layout, designed by architect Donald Harradine in 1987. Originally established as a 9-hole course in 1963, it is Moselle's oldest golf course. Located a few kilometers from Metz in the Grand-Est region, the course occupies 55 hectares of rolling, heavily wooded terrain within the grounds of the former Château de Chérisey. The course features two water hazards and relatively wide fairways throughout, including the forested sections, making it accessible to players of all levels. The layout includes two par 5s and two par 3s on each nine holes, with a maximum length of 6,066 meters. Key characteristics include varied terrain and mature woodland setting that creates an appealing aesthetic environment. Training facilities are comprehensive, comprising a 20-station practice range with seven covered bays, putting green, pitching green, bunker zone, and wedging area. The course maintains professional instruction year-round and hosts a sports association. Its diverse facilities and pleasant, welcoming environment make it suitable for training, improvement, or leisure play.
