Mixed Gent & Lady 4BBB Open at Hesketh Golf Club, Cockle Dick's Lane, Southport. Played off Yellow tees (Men) and Green tees (Ladies) with an 85% handicap allowance. Open to amateur golfers with an active playing handicap from a recognised golf club; a valid CDH number with 20 or more scores is required at the time of booking. Entry fee is £140.00 per team. Signup closes at 12:00pm on 27 July 2026. Bookings are transferable — a team member may be replaced by emailing assistant@heskethgolfclub.co.uk with the outgoing player's name and the replacement's name and CDH number. There is no on-site prize presentation; winners will be notified and prize vouchers will be posted or Professional's shop accounts credited. Results will be available online the following day. In the event of a tie, Lancashire Union of Golf Clubs rules apply. Cancellations must be made at least 7 days before the competition for an automatic refund. Players in individual competitions may not play with two other competitors from the same golf club. All competitors must observe the club's dress code; mobile phones are not permitted on the course except as distance-measuring devices or in an emergency.

Hesketh Golf Club, founded in 1885, is Southport's oldest golf course, located among Victorian villas in Churchtown. Designed by George Lowe and James Braid, it presents a fair yet demanding championship-caliber test. The layout features 18 holes split between two distinct environments: half weave through sand dunes while the remainder run alongside the Ribble Estuary, creating varied playing conditions. The dramatic finishing stretch from holes 14-18 frames the clubhouse scenically. The course borders a nature reserve and Site of Special Scientific Interest, offering natural beauty and diverse wildlife. Hesketh has hosted numerous prestigious tournaments including the Amateur Championship, R&A Junior Open, and British Senior Amateur, and regularly serves as a Regional Qualifying venue for The Open Championship. The club holds significant historical importance—the English Golf Union was founded here, and it counts notable players among its members and alumni, including DP World Tour winners Lee Slattery and Matthew Baldwin. The course has produced several touring professionals and maintains a strong competitive tradition.
