Southwell Golf Club

Nottinghamshire, England

Established in 1993, Southwell Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course measuring 5,773 yards with a par of 70 for men and 5,232 yards with a par of 72 for ladies. Located near Rolleston in Nottinghamshire, approximately 2 miles from Southwell and 5 miles from Newark, the course is situated within Southwell Racecourse. The course features two distinctly contrasting nines. The Front 9 is characterized by numerous water hazards and sits within the racecourse grounds. The signature 7th hole is a 138-yard par 3 with an island green, likened to Sawgrass. The Back 9 presents a different challenge with tree-lined fairways that emphasize accuracy from the tee. While the holes are not exceptionally long and offer birdie opportunities, the narrow fairways and small greens demand precise play. The course presents a fair and enjoyable test for golfers of all abilities. Southwell Golf Club is noted for its friendly atmosphere and welcoming environment for visitors. The modern clubhouse offers quality food and beverages at excellent value, and the club maintains excellent facilities for members and guests.
