Finca Cortesin has hosted major tournaments including the Volvo World Match Play Championship three times and The Solheim Cup 2023. The course underwent a significant 2017 greens renovation, becoming Spain's first to feature environmentally friendly Bermuda grass on all putting surfaces. The resort obtained GEO Certified® sustainability status in 2023 and the ACOSOL seal for irrigation efficiency, utilizing 100% regenerated water from the nearby village of Manilva, exceeding the required 50% threshold.
