Seahouses Golf Club

Northumberland, England

Seahouses Golf Club is an 18-hole coastal course located in Seahouses, Northumberland, set along the North Sea coastline. The course features dramatic seaside terrain with elevated tees, cliff-top holes, and extensive water hazards throughout, creating a challenging and scenic layout. The signature hole is the 10th, a demanding par-3 requiring an accurate tee shot entirely over water. Other notable holes include the 15th, a stunning par-3 positioned over cliffs with expansive views, and the 14th, a long par-3 along the coastline. Wind is a significant factor, with several holes particularly exposed to prevailing conditions. The course incorporates shared fairways between multiple holes and features substantial out-of-bounds areas following the beach on the left. Water hazards, bunkers, and elevated greens protect most holes, demanding accuracy and strategy from players. The layout progresses uphill toward the sea on the back nine before returning to the clubhouse. The course presents moderate to high difficulty, with its coastal setting providing both scenic beauty and challenging playing conditions. The combination of water, wind exposure, and topographical changes makes course management essential for competitive scoring.
