PGA National Czech Republic is an 18-hole championship course designed by renowned architect Kyle Phillips, known for creating environmentally sustainable golf designs. The course opened in two phases, with the first nine holes launching in August 2019 and the complete 18-hole layout in summer 2020.
Located in the Czech Republic, the course is operated by Troon Privé, the private club division of Troon Golf. The layout features strategic hole designs that offer multiple play options across varying skill levels, with particular emphasis on risk-reward positioning and natural landscape integration.
The course is characterized by sophisticated bunkering, particularly notable bunker complexes such as the "three bears" bunkers on hole 8, and cleverly positioned hazards that reward strategic shot-making. Signature features include scenic vistas, varied terrain with both uphill and downhill holes, and challenging green complexes with multiple pin positions designed to adjust difficulty.
Notable holes include the opening par 4 designed to be both welcoming and strategically complex, the par 5 fifth hole offering impressive views, and the demanding final holes that present significant challenges. The course has hosted the Czech Masters 2024 and features regular tournament play including the Black Tee Challenge and Sunday Oaks Cup.
