Golfclub Donau's Championship Course is an 18-hole, par-72 layout designed by Erwin Windhofer and Christoph Schilchegger, established in 1991 in Feldkirchen, Austria. The course stretches from 5,064 to 6,095 meters depending on tee selection, offering multiple difficulty levels for various skill categories. Set in a picturesque riverside location, the course features characterful hole designs with strategic bunkering and elevation changes. The signature hole is the par-4 3rd, a relatively short but precision-demanding layout requiring accuracy from tee to green, set within beautifully sculpted surroundings. The course presents varied challenges across its 18 holes, including par-5s reaching 520 meters and par-3s demanding long irons. Notable features include strategic fairway bunkers, multi-tiered greens with significant slope and elevation changes, and water hazards. The layout accommodates different skill levels—beginners can find playable angles while professionals face challenging pin positions. Maintained to premium standards year-round, Golfclub Donau benefits from Feldkirchen's mild winters, allowing nearly year-round play on summer greens. The course regularly hosts national tournaments and serves as a training venue for elite players. With a course rating ranging from 66.5 to 72.7 and slope ratings from 119 to 135, it provides appropriate challenge across all handicap levels.
