The course began with buffalo grass fairways and sand-based greens and tees. In 1967, the course relocated to a new site with improved water access and expanded recreational facilities including fishing and picnicking areas. Stagg Hill serves as a community hub hosting various tournaments and events throughout the year. The course features multiple leagues including men's, women's, ladies evening, and couples divisions. The facility continues to develop, with current plans for an enhanced short game practice area.
