Owl's Nest Resort Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course designed by Jack Nicklaus, nestled in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The course measures 6,684 yards from the black tees with a par of 72, featuring five tee options (Black, Blue, White, Gold, and Green) to accommodate varying skill levels. The layout is characterized by significant elevation changes and challenging terrain that highlight both its scenic beauty and difficulty. The course traverses the mountainous landscape, offering stunning vistas throughout the season. Notable design elements include strategically placed water hazards, bunkers, and out-of-bounds areas that demand accuracy and strategic shot selection. Signature holes include the par-5 "Blue Heron" (Hole 4) with its water hazards and green-side bunkers, the difficult par-3 "Pivotal" (Hole 7) surrounded by bunkers, and "The Bear" (Hole 13), an uphill par-5 requiring careful line selection. The par-4 "Derailed" (Hole 3) ranks as the course's #1 handicap hole, presenting a significant challenge with fairway bunkers and a shallow green. Owl's Nest has earned recognition as the #6 best Nicklaus-designed course by value worldwide according to NBC Golf Pass. The course maintains immaculate conditions year-round and provides a comprehensive golf experience combined with resort amenities including indoor simulators and dining facilities.
