Okayama Golf Club Obie Course is an 18-hole hillside course located in Kurashiki, Okayama Prefecture, with elevated views of the surrounding cityscape. The layout utilizes the natural terrain, featuring gentle and moderate elevation changes throughout. The design incorporates the surrounding natural landscape, with mature pine forests and native trees strategically preserved within the course. The outbound nine features several mentally challenging holes despite modest distances, including a notable valley carry at hole 7 that demands concentration for scoring. The inbound nine offers greater variety and length, with downhill shots at holes 11 and 16, and a valley carry at hole 12. The course accommodates multiple tee positions from back to pink tees, ranging from championship distances to beginner-friendly layouts. Par is 71 across both nines, with the course designed to challenge players while emphasizing strategic play and course management over pure length.
