Torrey Pines North Course is a scenic 18-hole golf course located in San Diego, California, bordered by the Torrey Pines State Reserve on its north end. The course was renovated in 2016 by renowned designer Tom Weiskopf. With approximately 6,500 square feet average tee sizes and 4,500 square foot greens, the North Course features rolling and flat terrain across its layout.
The course is shorter and less expensive than its sister South Course, making it accessible to golfers of all skill levels while still presenting challenges for experienced players. Known for its scenic beauty and numerous picture-perfect photo opportunities, the North Course hosts the PGA Tour's Farmers Insurance Open alongside the South Course. The course includes 61 sand bunkers and 2 water hazards, with primary grasses including Kikuyu overseeded with Rye on tees and fairways, and Bentgrass with Poa Annua on the greens. The North Course accommodates approximately 92,000 rounds annually and features diverse wildlife including coyotes, bobcats, deer, and various bird species. Tournament play maintains tees and fairways at 7/16 inch with greens cut to 1/8 inch.
