The Judge course at Capitol Hill offers stunning vistas across 200 acres along the backwaters of the Alabama River near Prattville, Alabama. The dramatic opening hole sits 200 feet above the fairway, providing views overlooking the river and Montgomery skyline. With 14 holes adjoining the water and a distinctive bulkheaded island green, the course presents a visually striking layout. The Judge has received significant recognition, including being named one of the 10 public courses in America worthy of hosting the U.S. Open by GOLF Magazine and ranking among the top 50 courses in America according to Zagat Survey. Capitol Hill itself, part of the RTJ Golf Trail, comprises three 18-hole championship courses across 1,500 acres. The Judge is currently scheduled to close for renovations beginning December 1, 2025, with a planned reopening in Fall 2026.
