Arlington Lakes Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal golf course located in Arlington Heights, Illinois, in the Northwest Chicago suburbs. Situated on 90 acres, the course underwent extensive renovation in 2016, revitalizing a 40-year-old facility that once operated as a Nike Missile Base.
The course features strategically placed fescue-edged bunkers that provide a natural aesthetic. Water hazards are a defining characteristic, coming into play on 13 of the 18 holes and significantly impacting course strategy. The design presents a moderate to challenging test of golfing skill across its layout.
Owned and operated by the Arlington Heights Park District, Arlington Lakes serves as a community-focused facility. It hosts numerous golf leagues—over 30 varieties—and offers comprehensive instruction programs led by PGA Professionals. The course is home to the annual Arlington Amateur tournament and accommodates outings and banquets at its clubhouse.
The facility caters to golfers of all skill levels through various lesson programs for both adults and juniors, from beginners through intermediate players. Season passes, multiple-play passes, and daily rates provide flexible options for regular and casual players. The course emphasizes both competitive play and recreational enjoyment within the local golf community.
