RTJ Golf Trail at Ross Bridge is an 18-hole course located in Hoover, Alabama, carved into the rolling terrain of Shannon Valley. The course is notably the fifth-longest in the world but features multiple tees accommodating golfers of all skill levels. Named one of the top golf resorts in North America by GOLF Magazine in 2019, it meanders through indigenous landscape around the 259-room Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort & Spa.
The course features ten holes along the banks of two significant lakes connected by a spectacular 80-foot waterfall between the 9th and 18th greens, with a historic gristmill reflecting the property's former mining site heritage. The par-three holes present considerable elevation changes combined with water hazards and natural obstructions, while large putting surfaces offer varied pin placements. Notable holes include the 7th, a par five traversing a ridge above the course, and the 9th, featuring a split fairway allowing for aggressive or conservative play. The course's elevation changes and water features create varied challenges across all hole types, with the waterfall views providing iconic visual elements throughout the round.
