The Senior Gents Strokeplay Open is an individual strokeplay competition for senior men, held on the Hawkshill Course at Newmachar Golf Club on Monday 27th July 2026. The event is open to visitors with a visitor fee of £30.00 (members pay £25.00). Players will tee off from the Yellow tees. Entry is via online booking through the HowDidiDo platform, with booking closing at 18:00 on the day of the event. A £5 per person donation is included in the entry fee, which goes to Newmachar Golf Club's chosen Cancer Charity.

Newmachar Golf Club is located less than 10 miles from Aberdeen in the North-East of Scotland and features two distinctive 18-hole courses designed by world-renowned architect Dave Thomas. The Hawkshill Championship Course is a mature heathland layout presenting a challenging test for all skill levels, characterized by tighter fairways and demanding terrain. The Swailend Course is a parkland design offering wider, more forgiving fairways and greater accessibility for golfers of varying abilities. Both courses represent mature golf design with established conditioning. The club provides comprehensive practice facilities including a floodlit 10-bay Trackman Driving Range equipped with ball tracing technology for shot analysis, a short-game practice area, and a practice putting green. These facilities serve both members and the public, enabling golfers to analyze and improve their game through advanced technology. The clubhouse includes the Alba Restaurant and meeting facilities, supporting both casual play and corporate events. The club welcomes visitors and offers group bookings and corporate golf days alongside an open competitions program.
